Hey y’all, I just started a website. It will be a good website, or maybe it will be a bad one. Either way, it will be this, the website you are looking at right now.

A few weeks ago I decided to quit my job to be a full-time freelance writer. This is an insane and terrible idea probably, but I did it anyways. But now I need a website, because my Twitter profile looks weird unless there’s a website that I can link people to in the part of the Twitter profile where it says you can put a website.

Anyways, I will use this cool blog to post links to stuff I’ve written for various publications as well as little mini-thoughts that are not worth publishing on any publications, and also as a place to post music sometimes. I am calling this blog “Material Shit,” after a very important lyric in the C-Murder song “Feel My Pain.” It is a good C-Murder song, and it is a good song in general. Look at that goddamn eagle sitting on C-Murder’s knee on his album cover.
